Navratri is a Hindu festival that is celebrated twice a year in the country – during the month of Chaitra (March-April) and Sharada (October-November). This is the colour of goddess Skandmata, who is the mother of Lord Karthikeya (Muruga). Make generous use of Haldi (turmeric) on this day.
